Because of
an error or a virus the option to show hidden file sometimes disappears like
the image below:
To fix this
problem follow these steps:
Start >
Run > regedit, follow this directory
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
SOFTWARE\
Microsoft
Windows
CurrentVersion
Explorer
Advanced
Folder
Hidden
From the
right double click on type and change the value data to group
